Rules and Policies
There is a link below to pdf documents of the Society’s Rules and Policies. Note: these are due to be updated during 2026 to the latest versions approved by the FCA.
Governance Review
In 2025, following an announcement at the AGM, the Board undertook to arrange a review of its governance procedures, to be carried out by the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA). The findings of that review are in the audit report below.
Subgroup Objectives
The Trust Board has set-up four subgroups to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Trust, without the need to seek full approval of the Board. The subgroups are:
- Community – Strategic Plan
- Engagement – Strategic Plan
- Finance and Operations – Strategic Plan
- Women’s Football – Strategic Plan
Subgroups enable the Board to enlist the help of members who have skills or experience that could help run the Trust. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us.
Note: these objectives will be reviewed and updated each year following the AGM.
Foxes Trust Accounts
The Society financial year-end is 31st August. Under FCA regulation, we are required to submit accounts within six months of this year end. Each year, at the Annual General Meeting, members vote to approve the final accounts and to maintain an Independent Examination of such. The Society is not required to undertake a full audit of its accounts unlike some other corporate entities. The Foxes Trust is not a charity, and is permitted to make profits, which would be liable to UK taxation. However, under its Objects, the Trust aims to operate on a not-for-profit basis, with membership fees being used to fund its activities in representing the members interests.
Board Directors are not remunerated. A capital sum, created when its shares in LCFC were compulsory purchased by a previous owner, is held on account. These funds are reserved for the specific purpose of being able to purchase any future share options, or for legal expenses should these be required when dealing with any new ownership.
Board Elections
The Foxes Trust Board comprises a minimum of six, maximum of 12 directors (referred to as Board Members). Board members are elected for a three-year term of office. Each year, one-third of the Board Members are required to retire, on rotation, having served their three-year term. Nominations are sought from the membership, and where there are more candidates than positions available on the Board, an election is held.
Four positions were available in 2026, the results of the Board Election were as follows:
- Jack Munton 198 votes
- Andrew Smith 197 votes
- Steve Potter 186 votes
- Chris Rice 185 votes
- Ian Bason 142 votes
- Sarah Hubbard 131 votes
- Matthew Davis 123 votes
- Paul Weston 111 votes.
331 ballots were submitted, there were 534 eligible voters.
Jack Munton, Andrew Smith, Steve Potter and Chris Rice were elected to the Board.
Foxes Trust Surveys
The Engagement Subgroup will conduct surveys and polls to ascertain members’ views on certain issues. This feedback will determine the Board’s policy on certain matters. Each year, the Trust undertakes a more detailed end-of-season survey, and since 2024 we widened the reach of this survey to the LCFC fan-base. The 2025 survey received over 3,200 responses, the results are below.
