A bit about you:
Name: Tim Rolls
Current home town: Teddington
Birthplace: Winslow, Bucks
How long have you supported your team? 1st game v Stoke Sept 1967
Overview of your club:
Favourite thing about your home ground: Statue of Peter Osgood outside West Stand
Favourite match played by your team & why: Champions League final v Bayern Munch May 2012. Obvious reason!
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Bobby Tambling
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Eden Hazard. On his day a truly world class talent.
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? Willian – a shining light in a season (largely) of gloom
Player in our squad you most fear and why? Mahrez is clearly a very high class player, both scoring and making goals
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Dominic Solanke
At the start of this season, it’s likely that the majority of both sets of our supporters would have expected our current relative League positions to have been reversed, where has it gone wrong for your club so far this season? Under achieving players, complacency on pitch and in the dugout, loss of form of key players, failure to buy another striker, leadership on the pitch when Terry not playing. A whole host of reasons. Plus, I suspect, things behind the scenes we are not aware of.
Now where do you think you’ll finish this season? Seventh
How do you think you’ll do against us? Win 1-0
General Questions:
What do you think of the summer transfer activity both in and out of your club? Inadequate. We need another striker and a centre back. We keep buying and rejecting attacking players (eg Schurrle, Cudrado,) and Pedro looks like he may go the same way.
Which three teams do you think will go down? Villa, Norwich, Newcastle
Who do you think will win the league? Man City
Any other comments? We are very unlikely to win the Champions League so a strong FA Cup run is essential.
