Oppos View – Leeds

A bit about you:

Name: Tony Edeson

Current home town:  Leicester (although it is a City!)

Birthplace: Driffield, East Yorkshire

How long have you supported your team? 46 years – 25 as Season Ticket Holders (me and my son).

Overview of your club:

Favourite thing about your home ground: Atmosphere, size and passion of crowd (even through recent hard times) and playing surface.

Favourite match played by your team & why: Everton, home in 1967 – my first trip to ER.

Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Tony Currie – what a masterful player and in an era of showmanship he was ‘Billy Smart’!!

About our forthcoming match against you:

Your favourite current player in your squad and why? El Hadj Diouf – no-one else loves him, you only do if he plays for you. The guy has great talent and both winds up the opposition and inspires our players and fans!

Player in your squad we should most fear and why? David Norris – has had an injury interrupted season, but on Saturday he looked back to his best and, breaking from midfield, had more shots at goal in the match than we as a team have had all season!

Player in our squad you most fear and why? Jamie Vardy – everyone was pleased Nugent wasn’t playing but I think Vardy has looked dangerous when he’s played this season. Also Knockeart – great skill and quick feet.

Up and coming prospect in your squad? Sam Byram – good prospect – if we can keep him! Plays equally well at fullback or in midfield. Pacy and good in the air.

Where do you think the season went wrong for you this year & why? Same as last season – October. Lost games we should have won and had some appalling referees decisions, including sending’s off that we see unpunished week in week out.

What did you think about the appointment of Warnock initially? He’s been there, done it. Is making the right noises and can stand up to Bates. So pleased.

What do you think about it now? We don’t know what he was promised about the takeover. Now it has gone through, we need to be in touch in January. He has no excuses now and Reading came from where we are last year (getting desperate now!!!).

How well do you think you'll do next season? Depends which league we are in!!!!!!!!!

How do you think you’ll do against us? Palace on Saturday was the best performance for a long time. The new loan signings both looked good, even though Thomas lacked match fitness. You are playing well and have a good squad so it should be close. If the buzz from Saturday carries through we might just sneak it!
