The Foxes Trust Board are delighted that new LCFC Chief Executive Susan Whelan has accepted the first invitation from the Trust to meet and is attending the Trust’s scheduled board meeting on Tuesday 14th June.
In yesterdays Leicester Mercury, Trust Board member Matt Davis is quoted, in an interview given to Rob Tanner before Susan’s acceptance, saying “The Trust hoped for a return to their close links with the club previously enjoyed under former chief executive Tim Davies.
"We have no reason to doubt that we will be able to establish the same sort of relationship with Susan that we did with Tim prior to the Milan Mandaric era of club ownership," said Davis.
"Tim was someone who always respected the views of our membership, both negative ones and positive ones.
"This is the kind of healthy relationship with a chief executive that is needed if the link between the fans and the club is to work.
"This new era, therefore, represents an excellent opportunity to improve dialogue between the Trust and the club, and our initial feeling is that with Susan Whelan at the helm, the relationship will improve very quickly.”
The acceptance of the first invitation clearly indicates this to be the case and as part of the acceptance, Susan Whelan stated her appreciation that the Trust has the best interests of the club at heart, and that we should work together in the future.
The Trust will provide more details to members after the meeting, in the next membership e-newsletter
