Glacial progress but change may be coming

Although progress is not as fast as some would like, from a national perspective, football supporters’ voices and concerns are being heard – those listening include the FA, EPL, broadcasters, DCMS, SGSA and train operators. Issues such as VAR, safe standing, club governance, proposals for a European Super League, train fares, FA Cup ticket prices, clubs sanctions, gambling addiction and tackling discriminatory abuse are all issues currently being addressed by fans’ groups.

The latest FSA PL Supporters Network meeting took place in Manchester on 30 January – Board member, Steve Moulds, was in attendance. These meetings are important as they provide a forum for supporters from all PL clubs to come together and discuss issues that affect all fans.

Decisions taken at these meetings also lead to the key issues raised with the Premier League Executive. The action points from the latest meeting can be viewed here
