Oppos View – Huddersfield

A bit about you:

Name: Robert Pepper

Current home town: Huddersfield Birthplace: Elland

How long have you supported your team?  64 Years

Overview of your club:

Favourite thing about your home ground: I'm pleased that the new (1994) stadium is only a stone's throw from the old one on Leeds Road and am still quite excited about what was a revolutionary design at the time.

Favourite match played by your team & why:  Has to be this year’s play-off final, won on the keepers’ penalties amidst  incredible tension, followed by the wildest euphoria!

Favourite player of all time who played for your club:  Seen is Denis Law.  All-time great was Billy Smith……

About our forthcoming match against you:

Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Adam Clayton for the solidity he gives us in midfield

Player in your squad we should most fear and why? I would normally be saying our two loans, Vaughan & Beckford, probably the sharpest strike pair in this division but I assume that Beckford won't be allowed to play.  Vaughan is quite capable of winning the game for us on his own.

Player in our squad you most fear and why? Sorry, can't comment on your squad – our manager is paid to analyse the opposition, not me!

Up and coming prospect in your squad? Jack Hunt at RB is an Academy product now being looked at as an U21 prospect.

Where do you think you’ll finish this season? We've faded after a bright start but can compete with any team in what is a very even division and now expect to finish mid-table.

How do you think you’ll do against us? We've no-one to fear in this division (as per the last comment), although Leicester played really well at our place and I think a draw is quite likely.
