The Foxes Trust has become one of the shirt sponsors for former City Club Chaplain, Richard Gamble and Radio Leicester commentator, Ian Stringer who, as discussed during the half time interval at today’s game, are running the Thai Marathon next month.
As Richard Gamble explains “We are running on the 18th November for the Foxes Foundation and Sports Chaplaincy UK. Ian and I will be running in the Bangkok marathon in a giant Leicester City Shirt. We will be attached together for the full 26.2 miles. Happily I am ensuring that Stringer is on my deaf side.
The race begins at 3am in 30 degrees and 80% humidity. We are not interested in getting a decent time merely just finishing. On the shirt we are selling space with each square worth £100 for businesses to sponsor us, with those sponsoring getting their logo on the shirt. Already a number of companies have bought up to 5 squares and we would like to thank the Foxes Trust for becoming one of those sponsors”
Richard and Ian have also made a fun video about the run which can be viewed here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE_MYKsetyI&feature=plcp
