A bit about you:
Name: Chris Young
Current home town: Coulsdon
Birthplace: Westminster
How long have you supported your team? 20 odd years.
Overview of your club:
Favourite thing about your home ground: Variety of pubs walkable to ground
Favourite match played by your team & why: Palace 5-0 Br*ghton.
After about a decade Br*ghton managed to get back in to our division, giving it the big 'un about how they will get revenge and they are the boss now. AJ grabbed a hat-trick. Sir Stevie Coppell was the Seagulls boss and walked out the tunnel to a standing ovation pre-match. Towards the end the PA announcer explained. "Away fans; please note that you will be locked behind for your own safety for 20minutes after the final whistle. Home fans – please note all stadium bars have been restocked for the full-time whistle"
Cue some good chants: "5-0, and you can't go home"
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Clinton Morrison, pedantic, picked up needless bookings, gave away silly free-kicks but boy did he love Palace. Scored for fun, had a great cross on him and was a master at winding-up opposition fans and players. Local lad too and had massive, massive love for Palace.
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Zaha – even more flair than Victor Moses, clearly going to be a superstar one day and someon you just enjoy whilst you can.
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? Also Zaha, but the most in-form individual at the moment is probably holding midfielder and Aussie international – our stand-in captian, Mile Jedinak. You won't see him lose a header all match.
Player in our squad you most fear and why? Thankfully Paul Gallagher has moved on, so I'd say Nugent. Sometimes he produces magic that you just have to clap and admire.
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Future Welsh international Jonny Williams, another teenager, plays like Joe Cole did for West Ham when he first hit the scene. Fearless, nippy, creative and a firm tackler for a wee chap. Pretty injury prone though.
Where do you think you’ll finish this season? Tough to say, we'll see how our new manager gets on. I think about 14th.
How do you think you’ll do against us? We will score early, probably from a well delivered set piece from Owen Garvan. We will then try and defend with 10 players in our 18 yard box for 85 minutes and let you score two in injury time. I.e. We will lose 2-1
