A bit about you:
Name: Alan Lewis
Current home town: Sevenoaks
Birthplace: Birmingham
How long have you supported your team? 20 years
Overview of your club:
Favourite thing about your home ground: It’s still a real slightly rickety football stadium with history
Favourite match played by your team & why: A league cup win v Aston Villa when I realised I’d become a real fan not just a Brummie living in London to be which must be added another rather recent good night in the League Cup at Old Trafford – many thousand silent, bemused ‘plastics’ – “we forgot you were here” sung with gusto is a permanent memory
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Dougie Freedman
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Julian Speroni – Mr Consistency since 2004 now
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? Wilfred Zaha – pace & trickery; now rather better known but needs to begin scoring
Player in our squad you most fear and why? David Nugent – his rumoured transfer to us several years ago has sustained our internet boards for years – that means he’ll score against us
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Jonathan Williams but unfortunately broke his leg playing for Wales u-21 in October
Where do you think you’ll finish this season? 9th – we’ve not enough fire power & I’ll stick to that
How do you think you’ll do against us? For the game at your place I said “This is the sort of game we lose – just after you get a new manager! I was right” but I’ll go for 1-0 to the Palace at home
Any other comments? Good luck to Neil Danns.
