Oppos View – Portsmouth Part 2

View from the opposition – Portsmouth Part 2

Name:  Scott Mclachlan

Current home town: London
Birthplace: Sarfsea

How long have you supported your team? 35 years

Overview of your club: Mid table strugglers and that suits us just fine, we've flirted with liquidation too many times to be worried about Promotion
pushes.  With the appointment of a young boss the owners are looking to build the club up slowly, but with the lack of any infrastructure at all and
a very poor ground at Fratton it will be a long job.

Favourite thing about your home ground: Its still there and hopefully always will be, you can keep your new crisp bowl stadiums.

Favourite match played by your team & why: AC MIlan in 2008, a simply magical night where we gave them a hiding and 20k Pompey Fans sang the roof
off for 90 minutes.  The FA Cup finals were not nearly as much fun, have Leicester ever won an FA Cup?

Favourite player of all time who played for your club:  For me its always Bob Prosinecki, only played 36 games in one season but my word he was a
class act, he could put an opposing player on his backside or send him so far the wrong way he caught a bus from the ground to the beach with one
swivel of his hips. Brilliant.

About our forthcoming match against you: You'll probably win but we don't care, we'll still out sing you.

Your favourite current player in your squad and why?  Luke Varney, he's a little live wire who could either score a hat-trick or get sent off.

Player in your squad we should  most fear and why?  Eric Huseklepp, learning the pace of the English game quickly enough and can turn a game in
an instant with a surging run.

Player in our squad you most fear  and why?  Sorry, don't know anything about Leicester at the moment, it certainly won't be Dave Nugent!

Up and coming prospect in your squad?  Joel Ward, needs to work on his first touch but has a great future in the game at the Football League level.

Where do you think you’ll finish  this season?  15th, we just don't have depth to the squad so will struggle at times.

How do you think you’ll do  against us? Draw, hopefully with at least 2 goals

Any other comments?  Do you do Thai curries now at the Stadium now?  My favourite is Green.
