A bit about you:
Name: Nathan
Current home town: Swindon Birthplace: Swindon
How long have you supported your team? 18 years
Overview of your club:
Favourite thing about your home ground: The banter from the home fans is second to none, especially when our biggest rivals come to the bridge.
Favourite match played by your team & why: I would have to say Chelsea v Liverpool in the FA Cup 1996/97 season @ Stamford Bridge. We came from 2-0 down to win 4-2, it always sticks in my mind when Zola scored a beauty from outside the box.
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: It’s got to be Gianfranco Zola! What a legend!
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? At the moment it’s got to be Juan Mata, the guy has unbelievable tekkers! He gives us the creativity that can make the difference in a tight game. Hard to mark, defence splitting passes and a great striker of the ball… just look at the goal he scored against Man Utd recently.
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? Juan Mata for obvious reasons but you can’t forget about Daniel Sturridge, with the pace and confidence he has he is capable of changing a game on his own.
Do you think Di Matteo will rest many players on Sunday ? I would think so, with Man City and Spurs coming up and most of our first team playing 90mins plus extra time against Napoli. The league is the most important one for us at the moment, making sure we get 4th is top priority after the season we have had so far.
Having said that the FA Cup is a competition we have had great success in and Leicester certainly won’t be an easy game so whoever he picks they will have to be on top form.
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Daniel Sturridge.
Player in our squad you most fear and why? Jermaine Beckford, he scored against us for Everton which we could have done without and wouldn’t be surprised if he did it again this weekend.
Where do you think you’ll finish in the League this season? 4th as a minimum. 3rd will be even better but the top 2 is a Manchester lock down unfortunately.
How do you think you’ll do against us? Tough but we are a 3 game winning streak, confidence is high and FINALLY all the players are pulling together, I’m going for 3-1 Chelsea with Sturridge getting on the score sheet, maybe even Torres… doubt it!
All City fans are looking for a “dodgy” penalty to equal out the one you Mike Reid awarded you in the late 90’s FA Cup tie, what was your view of that incident? Harsh but if we have David Luiz playing you might get one yourselves this weekend! The officials will always play a big part, just look how many Man Utd were awarded against us last month!
Any other comments? BRING BACK JOSE MOURINHO!!!!!
