Favourite thing about your home ground: Traditional and football is in the town’s blood
Favourite match played by your team & why: It has to be in recent times the Wembley Play-Offs final against Shef U in 2009 to get promoted to the top flight for the first time in 33 years
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Leighton James probably in the 70s!
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? : Picking one is difficult because our twin strike force of Danny Ings and Sam Vokes are both scoring for fun and complement each other! We basically lost one key striker(Austin) and replaced him with two.
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? See above..you might keep one striker quiet but both could be tricky
Player in our squad you most fear and why? I said last time ‘Flipping David Nugent, he always scores against the Clarets!’ I see no reason to change my mind despite his loss of form of late.
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Midfielder, Steven Hewitt is beginning to make an impression and is getting more opportunities off the bench. Definitely one for the future
If you could sum up your first half of the season in just a few words would it be? How about one? Incredible!! This wasn’t supposed to happen. With a £8 million debt and small squad plus having just sold Austin, most fans at start of season were fearing a relegation scrap
How do you think you’ll do against us? Our toughest game of the season so far that is for sure although no game is easy in this division. Would be delighted with a point so lets say 2-2. Hoping though we can shade it. Bring it on!!
Any other comments? Good luck for the rest of the season after Saturday of course and let’s hope we can both shut out QPR and both go up together in the automatic promotion places.
