Going to Coventry ?

By Car – CV6 6GE

THE Ricoh Arena is considered one of the easiest venues in the country to reach due to being sat literally next door to the M6 motorway from which you can see the stadium.

Leave Leicester via the M69, At Junction 2 exit onto the M6 towards Birmingham. At Junction 3 of the M6 take the A444 to Bedworth and Coventry. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Phoenix Way heading to Coventry. Go straight on at the next roundabout and the ground is on the left.

PARKING

There is a 2 mile parking "exclusion zone" around the ground on matchdays, so paying for a car park is your only option. If you're prepared to do your weekend shopping before or after the game, you could try the Arena Park (Tesco's) next to the stadium itself. But beware: they will ask to see receipts from shops onsite for £25 or more when you leave

All matchday car parking for the Ricoh Arena's A and B car parks works on a pre-book only basis.Bookings will need to be received at least a week in advance of the particular match. Car Park C at the Ricoh Arena however is available for cash parking on a matchday. Matchday car parking costs £10 per game…..

Our Park and Ride and Park and Walk stations situated around both the Ricoh Arena and the city cost £7 and £5 respectively.Directions By Road     SAT NAV: BS3 2EJ

BY TRAIN

Fans travelling to Coventry by train have one of two choices when using public transport from Coventry Train Station to get to the Ricoh Arena,

With a taxi rank right outside the train station, fans can take a taxi direct to the Ricoh Arena which will cost approximately £12 or take a taxi to city centre bus station Pool Meadow, costing approximately £6, where they can catch a bus to the stadium.

Trains take approx 45mins going, over 1 hr coming back, cheap day return £8-40

BY BUS

You can travel via a number of bus routes around the city to Arena Park Tesco which neighbours the Ricoh Arena and also provides footpath access to the stadium. Ask for a "Matchday ticket" which will cover all your bus journeys to and from the station. Change at the main bus station (Pool Meadow) to one of the football specials which go non-stop to the Ricoh. They run about every 10 minutes, and on the return journey operate on a "fill & go" basis. The other services are the nos 4 & 5, which will take you to the Tesco store (3 min walk from the ground).

Where to Eat

There is a Pizza Hut & Burger King  on the shopping centre, and Tesco's itself has a "restaurant". Otherwise, there is the food both inside and outside the Arena itself.

Where to drink

The Black Horse, in Black Horse Rd is a local "away-friendly" pub. You could also try the Lord Raglan in Coventry Road, Exhall, or The Hub (Wheelwright Lane). The local Novotel (Wilsons Lane) is also nearby and has a bar. The Longford Engine is predominately a home fans pub, but will welcome you if you're not wearing your team's colours. The Casino (attached to the stadium) has also been known to pull a pint, and of course there are plenty of bars on the stadium concourse.
NOTE: The stadium is "cashless", which means you have to buy a plastic card from someone standing around wearing a luminous green jacket, and then pay cash (!) to put money on it before you can buy food & drink from any stadium outlet.
