Going to Sheffield?

By Car

From The North/South/East – Exit the M1 at junction 36 and follow the A61 towards Sheffield. Continue along the road for approximately four miles until the second roundabout. Take the third exit (Leppings Lane) – the ground is on the left-hand side. There may be some street parking/unofficial car parks along the A61

From the West – Take the A57 for Sheffield. As you approach the city the road splits in two – take the left fork onto the Rivelin Valley Road (A6101). Continue for approximately 3.75 miles, turn left (onto one way system) and follow the road round to the right onto Holme Lane. This road then becomes Bradfield Road. At the junction with the A61 Penistone Road, turn left towards Barnsley. Hillsborough Stadium is on the left-hand side after Hillsborough Park.

Pubs

The New Bridge Inn on Penniston Road, which is the main A61 that runs by the stadium welcomes away fans. The Norfolk Arms & The Red Lion on the way into Sheffield on the A61 from the M1are also used by away fans.  The New Barrack Inn on the A61 just before McDonalds on the way to the ground, from the city centre is also good. Forget the exterior, inside the pub has some excellent decor and no juke boxes or fruit machines…..


By Train

Sheffield Railway Station is situated in the town centre, 3 miles from the ground. The bus station is a one minute walk from the railway station. Cross over at the pedestrian crossing, and follow the signs. Head for the far side of the terminus. Bus no. 53 to Ecclesfield runs regularly to the ground as well as numbers 77 & 80 (every 15 minutes), the journey time is about 30 minutes.   

Train takes just over 1 hour, off peak return £21-70 

By Supertram

Take the South Yorkshire Supertram (signposted from the Railway Station) towards Middlewood Road (yellow route). Exit at the Leppings Lane stop, which is a short walk from the ground.
