Chance to Watch City Reserves At The Walkers

Regulars to City Reserves games were dismayed when the club pulled out of a formal League structure a couple of seasons ago and have had few chances to see the Reserves in action since, as nearly all the games have been held behind closed doors.

Even when the Reserves games have been open to the public, it has not been at the Walkers Stadium for many seasons, and this seems a lost opportunity as those who have passed through Primary schools years have missed out on the experience of the those currently in their mid to late teens who “cut their Leicester City supporting teeth” watching Family Night Football (FNF).

So this Wednesday night (August 19th), opens up an opportunity during school holiday times to watch Leicester City reserves as they make their return to the Walkers Stadium (kick-off 7pm), to face Sheffield United in the totesport.com Cup.

The West Stand is open for the game with adult tickets priced at £5, while children aged under-16 can attend for free, providing they are accompanied by a full paying adult, with tickets available at the turnstiles on the night.

A good crowd may encourage the club to play further reserve games at the Walkers, so if you feel strongly about being able to watch the reserves, Wednesday is the game to come to.
