Going to Tranmere?

How to get to Prenton Park:

By road:
From the North: From Liverpool city centre, travel through the Queensway Mersey Tunnel (signposted Birkenhead) and after the toll booths (there is a £1.40 charge for cars), bear right onto the flyover. The ground is signposted from here. Continue along Borough Road for approximately 2 miles and the ground appears in front of you.

From the South / East: M6, M56 and M53 to J4. Take the fourth exit from the roundabout onto the B5151 (Mount Road). Continue for 2.5 miles when Mount Road becomes Storeton Road and turn right onto Prenton Road West at traffic lights. The ground is on the right-hand side in 200 yards.

Parking:
There is a very large car park at the ground, which costs £4 per car per game or £80 for a Car Park Season Ticket. Car park tickets can be purchased in advance from the Ticket Office on 0871 221 2001. Beware of a residents parking scheme, which is in operation around on many roads around the ground…..

Where to Drink

Prenton Park is next door to two pubs (The Mersey Clipper and the Prenton Park), with others well within walking distance (The Halfway House, The Sportsman and The Swan).

The Mersey Clipper, behind the Main Stand, the Prenton Park and The Sportsmans Arms on Prenton Road East are recommended for away fans. A little further away is the Swan Pub on Woodchurch Road, Prenton, which is a good twenty-minute walk away from the ground. Away fans are welcome and it has the added advantage of having 96 car parking spaces available, which are either free or have a small charge levied that can be redeemed against a drink at the bar.

All fans please note, it is a criminal offence to drink alcohol on the streets of Birkenhead, you may find yourself being arrested if you do.

There are several take-aways and restaurants nearby.
