Going to Swindon?

Travelling by Car

Please be aware there is a large roundabout (The Magic Roundabout) near the ground. This has small roundabouts around the periphery, so you can end up effectively going round the large roundabout the wrong way. You can see more on the Swindon website.

Travelling from the East and West:

Leave the M4 at Junction 15. Take the Commonhead Roundabout. Turn left onto the A4259 Marlborough Road.

Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Queens Drive. At the next set of roundabouts take the 3rd exit onto County Road the entrance to the ground is on the first right.

Travelling from the Midlands:

Take the M40 to Junction 9. Then take the A43, A34 and then the A420 into Swindon.

At Drakes' Roundabout turn onto Queen's Drive. At the next set of roundabouts take 3rd exit onto County Road, the entrance to the stadium is the first right….

Parking:

There are limited spaces available at the County Ground, but there are several Town centre car park situated 1 / 2 miles from the stadium. There is nearby street parking and several match day car parks. There may also be parking available at the Cricket Club ( take the County Road past the County Hotel, parking is on the right)

Travelling by train:

From the front of the station turn left onto Station Road. Facing the White House pub, head right onto Corporation Street.

At the traffic lights turn left onto Manchester Road. At the end of Manchester Road turn right onto County Road. The entrance to the stadium is the second left.

This walk should take approx 10-15 minutes. Train takes 3 to 3hours 30 mins, cheapest fare £76-00

Where to Drink

The County Hotel does not usually admit away fans, but you may be able to drink in the Cricket Club bar. The Merlin on Drove Rd (near the Magic Roundabout) is also recommended. Swindon Town Centre is approximately 15 minutes walk away.
