Visting Oldham?

Boundary Park.

Sitting just off the M62 along the A627(M) spur, the ground is also within easy reach of the M60, M6, M56, M66 and M67.

Directions – By Car:

FROM M62: Leave motorway at junction 20 (signposted Rochdale, Oldham).  Follow A627(M) towards Oldham, and leave motorway at second junction with PC World on your left(signposted A627).  The ground is clearly visible from the roundabout.

For official parking, take the first exit at the roundabout (NOT for the retail park), and you will see the Club's extensive parking facilities clearly signed on your right.

For the main entrance, take the second exit at the roundabout before turning left at the traffic lights just after the Pentagon Vauxhall dealership.  Follow the road straight over the first mini-roundabout, then turn left at the next mini-roundabout.

From M60: Leave motorway at junction 21, then follow signs for Oldham and pass McDonald's on your left.  Continue through several sets of traffic lights and down Broadway (40mph limit enforced by static speed cameras) before branching left up the slip road just before the start of the A627(M).

Then take the third exit at the roundabout for the official car park…

Car Parking

Right near the ground (about few minutes walk to away turnstile) there is a B&Q and you can park on there for free but it takes around 10 mins to get off after the game.
We also have the biggest official car park I have ever seen at a football ground so parking wont be a problem. Parking is priced at £3 for cars, £5 for minibuses and £10 for coaches/buses.

Travelling by train

Trains take approx 3 hours 30 mins, last train to get back Saturday night is 18-47 Off peak returns £38-50

There are three stations that you could use to get to Boundary Park. Oldham Mumps, Oldham Werneth or Mill Hills. However Oldham Mumps and Mill Hills are both around a 45 minute walk away from the ground and are not really practical. Therefore it is best to use Oldham Werneth, which is served by North West Trains on the Oldham Rochdale loop. Trains for Oldham depart from Manchester Victoria platforms 1 or 6.

If you buy a ticket to Oldham and arrive from the South at Manchester Piccadilly your fare includes travel on the Metrolink to Victoria station. As you exit the platforms at Piccadilly turn left for the Metrolink station. Take the tram for BURY only to get to Manchester Victoria.

Oldham Werneth station is around a 15 minute walk away from the ground.  Exit the station and turn right onto Featherstall Road South and walk for about 3/4 miles through one set of traffic lights and a small roundabout at Tesco until you come to a large roundabout. Turn left onto Chadderton Way (cross over at the underpass as Chadderton Way is a dual carriageway) and follow for another ¼ miles until you come to Boundary Park Road (by the B&Q Warehouse) turn right and Boundary Park is ahead. You will be approaching the ground from the home supporters end, so at the end of Boundary Park Road turn right up Sheepfoot Lane past the main stand to the other end of the ground. It is extremely unusual for any taxi's to be at Werneth station.

Stewards.
Because of the ground redevelopment we only have 3 stands this year so we share the away stand with you guys and are separated by a moat thing and riot police etc, which makes for excellent banter and an intimidating atmosphere.
The stewards are usually job worths but for the bigger games they don’t do much and leave it to the police.

Drink
There’s a harvester pub called Clayton Green behind the home end which gets a bit busy but does good pub grub. Theres plenty of pubs on Rochdale road at the top of the hill behind the away end. Oldham centre is 20 min walk away also.
DON’T go in ‘The Queens’ it’s the pub with the big Oldham crest and St Georges flag painted on it.
