Oppos View – Norwich

A bit about you:

Name:  Peter Raven

Current home town:  Norwich  Birthplace:  Norwich

How long have you supported your team?  Since the age of 6, first game attended aged 10.

Overview of your club:

Favourite thing about your home ground:  Has character and atmosphere, unlike a lot of these new flatpack stadiums that lack any identity or soul. It's also 15 minute's walk from my home!

Favourite match played by your team & why:  Away – Burnley 3, Norwich City 5, April 3, 2004: Three times we went a goal behind, and three times we pulled level before three unanswered goals in the second half resulted in a win that really had the fans believing we were going up.

Home – Norwich City 4, Middlesbrough 4, Jan 22, 2005: One of the most remarkable comebacks I've ever seen. We were 4-1 down with only 12 minutes of the game left. Two minutes Dean Ashton scored his first goal in City colours on his home debut. In the last minute of normal time Leon McKenzie headed past Mark Schwarzer. Two minutes into injury and Adam Drury put Huckerby's corner beyond the Boro keeper and the stadium erupted.

Or any win over Ipswich……

Favourite player of all time who played for your club:  Norwich City has had many great players from before my time but I feel it only appropriate to pick someone I've seen play myself. I know it's predictable but I'd go for Darren Huckerby – the main reason why we won promotion in 2003/04 – the only trophy I've seen City win! Someone less obvious would be Thomas Helveg – I never thought I'd see a player of his calibre pull on the yellow and green, albeit only for one season and one in which we got relegated from the Premier League.

About our forthcoming match against you:

Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Dion Dublin. Just as effective upfront as he is at the back. A calming influence on the team and a role model for the younger players to learn from. Still going strong at 38 – the man's a legend.

Player in your squad we should most fear and why?  Ched Evans on loan from Man City is a confident lad and knows where the goal is. We have no hope of signing him permanently as he will go on to much bigger and better things.

Player in our squad you most fear and why?  Leicester have spent well on the likes of Howard, Hayles and Oakley – a player I wish we'd have gone in for. I think the big man Howard upfront will be the one to watch though.

Up and coming prospect in your squad?  Ched Evans will be a name to look out for in the future – sadly he's not ours to keep! In terms of our own kids, sadly none of them have featured heavily for the first team this season.

Where do you think you'll finish this season?  After our disastrous start to the season 21st or above will suit me! I can see us finishing around 10th place.

How do you think you'll do against us?  We've only lost once away from home in the last five games and your form's not been great of late but with Holloway having spent well so far in this transfer window I can see you climbing the league table with us. I'll go for 1-1 or 2-1 to Norwich.
