General Election – What the Parties Say on Football

While the Foxes Trust board takes a neutral stance on the election, we feel we have a duty to inform members and the wider LCFC fan base what the political parties have stated within their election manifestos in regards to football.

The Football Supporters Federation (FSF) published a useful guide earlier this month and have now added a recent update following a specific declaration by one of the parties.

You can read the FSF guide here http://www.fsf.org.uk/blog/view/Party-manifestos-and-football

In addition to this guide another respected publication in the football industry is FC Business. They have also published a detailed article looking at the election from a football clubs perspective. A link to this article is here http://www.fcbusiness.co.uk/news/article/newsitem=3809/title=football+gets+political+ahead+of+general+election

It is also worth clicking the link within the FC Business article which then provides responses to five questions from Clive Efford, Shadow Sports Minister for Labour, Tony Clarke, Green Party spokesman, John Leech, Liberal Democrat Sports Spokesman, and Helen Grant, Sports Minister for the Conservatives.
