In the final part of the series, Andy Roberts, Chair of Northampton Town FC Supporters Trust gives his views on Josh Eppiah’s time at their club
“Northampton ultimately missed out on automatic promotion from League 2 because they did not score enough goals.
The loans brought in during January to bolster the attacking options were a disappointment.
The exception, for me, was Josh Eppiah – he was initially mainly used as a sub but, when introduced, caused real problems to opponents by showing good pace and a willingness to get on the front foot.
He was rewarded with two goals in an impressive away victory at Leyton Orient.
His fitness was an issue at times and he was naturally a little raw and somewhat rough around the edges.
But I saw enough to suggest he has a bright future if he continues to work hard and display a great attitude.
I would certainly welcome him back should he wish to return to Northampton although I would understand if he now wants to test himself at League One level. In which case, we missed out! “
