Struggling with March 15th Deadline?

The Foxes Trust has been trying, since the Season Ticket “Renew or Lose It” date was first announced, to persuade the club to extend the deadline.

While recognising the club has bought forward the renewal date to try and get an early indication of season ticket sales and therefore the likely funds available for next season, to enable early moves in the transfer market, the 6 weeks notice given to Season Ticket holders has left many struggling to raise the money in time.

The Trust has also been pushing for the club to make fans aware of the most cost effective ways of obtaining Season Tickets, however with the non appearance of this information, the Trust today publishes the options we feel are worth considering.

You Will Have the Funds in April?

If Season Ticket holders cannot afford to pay the full Season Ticket price by March 15th, but can afford it by the end of April, the most cost effective method is to pay the £50 deposit before March 15th and complete a single Direct Debit payment in April, therefore incurring a single £4 direct debit administration fee

The alternative of potentially losing your seat and paying the entire amount in April is more expensive due to the 10% price increase, so the single Direct Debit is the best solution.

You Will Have the Funds in May?

In the same way, if you cannot afford to pay the entire amount until May, choosing the £50 Direct Debit initial payment, and then 2 instalments to complete in May will incur £8 in administration fees, much cheaper than paying 15% more in May.

Combine Your Direct Debits !

Another good way to save costs is if several Season Ticket holders renew on a single direct debit, therefore if a family of 4 renew on a single direct debit, the administration cost in effect falls to £1 per person per month……

Indeed at the recent Fans Consultative Committee, the club revealed that 10 friends had all renewed under a single direct debit, with the person whose account the direct debit was linked to receiving post dated cheques for each month from all his friends.

So why not get together with friends and save some costs !

Needing to Save More?

If you are struggling to afford Season Tickets, don’t forget one option is to obtain a lower priced seat and the “Just the Ticket” seats in the West Stand are the lowest priced seats in the stadium costing £275 for renewals for adults

Is a New Credit Card an Option?

While the Trust Board do not promote and recommend specific products, individually 2 of the board members have chosen to explore the Barclaycard claim that they have a specific football credit card whereby no interest is charged when the card is used to purchase a season ticket (interest charges would apply for any other purchase made on the card).

With this option, the club will charge a handling fee of 1.7 percent and an individual’s ability to obtain a card depends on your credit rating. If you are contemplating this option it is strongly recommended that you discuss the full terms and conditions with Barclaycard first either via www.barclaycard.co.uk  or telephone 0800 731 0200

Adult with Child

If you are an adult bringing a child, don’t forget a new package has been introduced starting at £270, a considerable saving on last years prices

The Foxes Trust has produced this guide in good faith and hopes that fans will find it useful
