League One Trusts

The links section if the Foxes Trust website has been updated to provide easier access to view other Trust’s websites. The links section has now been re-organised by the Division the club will take part in for the 2008-09 season.

Along with the Foxes Trust, 14 other clubs in League One have Trusts, with each relationship with their club varying from actual ownership of the club, to working on the outside lobbying only via media sources.

The first Trust that was set up is a League One club, Northampton Town led the way in the formation of a Trust, and the current Supporters Direct Chairman, Brian Lomax, was instrumental in it’s creation.

The last club to qualify for League One last year was Stockport County, who got promoted via the Play off’s. Stockport is owned and ran by the Trust, which helps to dispel the myth that Trust ownership of a club does not equate to a lack of success on the pitch.
