Oppos Views Update – Ipswich

It’s only couple of weeks ago since we got the views of Ipswich supporting Porter family, so we caught up with them again to see if they were confident of another victory given their sides poor away record this season.

Name: Alan Porter

Our recent meeting was not the best match but even though you unfortunately were reduced to ten men for a somewhat dodgy penalty decision and subsequent red card, I feel the best side came out on top.

Hume took his chance well.  We are much stronger when Jon Walters plays on the right but Jim Magilton has been experimenting with him on the left and as hard as he tries he is not a natural player their. Fortunately during the match with Scunthorpe he switched him back and he looked dangerous again.

Re Boxing Day, always a difficult match to predict, you never know what the players have been up to on Christmas Day. Bearing in mind that Ipswich do not travel to well at the moment and I can recall a Boxing Day Match when Ipswich lost 10 -1 to Fulham, the dice is loaded towards Leicester. However I will predict 2 – 2.

Name: Kevin Porter

I think Boxing Day will herald our first away win of the season 3 -1.   Although Alan believes I have forgotten that the promised investment of £12 million for new players from our new benefactor Marcus Evans will not have been spent by then……

Name: Ian Porter

Player in our squad you most fear and why? – As we will be playing away – we will fear everyone. Our away form is well documented as being, at best, dismal

How do you think you’ll do against us? Definite Foxes win. Our boys will be hacked off in being away from home on Christmas night, so add this to our away form and I reckon 2-1 to Leicester.

Views on the previous meeting: Town probably deserved the win at Portman Road a few weeks back – but only just). Leicester seemed to struggle a bit with both team shape and ambition. I understand you had a few injuries though. The penalty and the red card were a little harsh – but this was the Refs fault – not Ipswich's so………still haven't forgiven Savage anyway (see previous article link below)

Best of luck for the rest of the season – from 27th December onwards.

Happy Christmas Leicester fans.
