In the second of our articles on the progress of our loan players, we spoke to the Senior Blades fan organisation, who held a lunch earlier this week, so asked various attendees for their views on Harry Souttar.
The initial comments came from two friends of Alan Birchenall, who fans from the era when they played will know well:
“Tall, quick, reads the game well, dominates in the air” (Tony Currie)
“Unassuming, gets on with the game, plays in a quiet manner, in full control, massive in every way, rock solid pro.” (Ted Hemsley)
Other supporters present said:
“Colossal, immense”
“Get him signed in January “
“Solid at the heart of defence “
“Did a great job on Michael Smith on Sunday v Sheffield Wednesday in the local derby, boxed him off”
Thanks to Kathryn Woodward, Chairwomen of Senior Blades for gathering these views. The latest from their organisation can be read here
