The Foxes Trust has today written to Ipswich Town to express concerns about some of the stewarding at last Saturday’s game at Portman Road.
Leicester supporters have provided the Trust with their experiences, which included:
- Confusing seating numbering, with home stewards not knowing where seats were and unable to direct away fans to their seats
- Crushing on the stairs and aisles, with supporters unable to find or get to their seats
- Stewards themselves blocking stairs and refusing to move to help clear the crowding
- Use of the wider Row A as a cut through (by supporters, stewards and Police alike) resulting in Row A fans having to stand to see, resulting in disabled fans not being able to see.
One female Leicester fan was hospitalised with a broken arm, whilst another suffered serious bruising and a black eye.
We have asked Ipswich Town FC for their comments.
