FOXES TRUST PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE USE

Trust Welcomes Return to Two Year Kit Cycle

The Foxes Trust has welcomed the news that the kit deal with JJB has come to an end and that the club will be returning to a two year kit cycle.

Commenting on the news, Trust Board Member Matt Davis said "We opposed the use of a one year kit cycle from the day it was announced, as we felt it was a bad deal for all concerned and predictably full price kit sales fell considerably as many fans did not view a one year kit as value for money"

"We have continued to lobby for a return to a 2 year cycle ever since, with the club finally recognising the need to revert back very early this season, however we also raised the topic with representatives of Milan Mandaric way back in early November, getting an initial positive response"

Davis added "We know Milan has played a major role in sourcing a new supplier and look forward to a formal announcement in the near future"

Note to Editors: The Foxes Trust will give its considered reaction to the recently announced Season Ticket prices in the near future….

The Foxes Trust was formed in 2002 and came to prominence when it helped save Leicester City Football Club when it was in administration. Having become one of the  top 15 shareholders of Leicester City owning in excess of £150,000 shares, it committed to sell it’s shares to Milan Mandaric as part of his takeover of the club in February 2007.

It is entirely separate from the management of Leicester City and any other supporters’ organisations. It exists to ensure that the problems which resulted in administration in 2002 do not recur, and to represent the City supporter and supporter interests at the highest levels within the management of the club.
