Oppos View – Sheffield United

A bit about you:

Name: Jamie Furniss

Current home town: Sheffield      Birthplace: Sheffield

How long have you supported your team? 17 years

Overview of your club:

Favourite thing about your home ground: Well, it is the oldest professional football ground in the world. Despite that, it's still very modern and one of the best in the country, apart from the obvious ones. I do quite like the Walkers Stadium too, though.

Favourite match played by your team & why: Sheffield United 4:3 Nottingham Forest – Play-off Semi-final. We were 2:0 down in the second-leg (3:1 on aggregate), but we pulled it back to 2:2, then went ahead, and eventually won 4:3. One of the best games Bramall Lane has ever seen.

Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Keith Edwards, Tony Currie or Brian Deane.

About our forthcoming match against you:

Your favourite current player in your squad and why? It was Arsenal loanee Kyle Bartley, but he's joined Rangers, much to the dismay of many Blades fans. With Andy Reid going back to Sunderland and joining Blackpool, it's pretty hard to pick our best/my favourite player. I'd have to say Ched Evans, who has been on form of late….

Player in your squad we should most fear and why? It would have to be Ched Evans. As I alluded to above, he's in a rich vein of form, so Evans is the player you'd have to be most wary of.

Player in our squad you most fear and why? Yakubu, without a doubt. He's Premiership class. As is former Blades defender Kyle Naughton. I'm sure he'll get a warm reception from the Blades fans.

Up and coming prospect in your squad? Elian Parrino. He's on loan from Argentine side Estudiantes and has been stunning since being given a chance under news boss Micky Adams at the start of the year.

Where do you think you’ll finish this season? Well, I think we may just stay up by the odd point. Surely there's three worst teams than us in this league.

How do you think you’ll do against us? We haven't won since mid-December however, in all honesty, we've deserved more than what we have picked up. I'll predict a 1:3 Leicester victory. Hard to say it, but I can't see us getting anything.
