Trust Aims Review – Part Two

The second in a series of articles reviewing the progress the Foxes Trust has made against it’s originally declared aims.

Aim – To create an independent forum to raise the concerns of Leicester City Football Club supporters.

Review – The Fans Forum already existed prior to the Trust formation, however it used as a meeting to “tell fans what it was going to do next”. The Trust put forward a restructure of the Forum, where the forums members would all represent areas of the fan base, whether this be as representatives of a fans organisation or to represent areas of the ground, or supporter “type” such as a corporate customer.

This format was adopted by the club and re-named the Fans Consultative Committee and chaired by Peter Jones and now follows a consultative approach on a wide range of issues, with certain areas examined in more detail. As an example two sub committees were formed last season to focus on kit design and ticket pricing respectively….

The club has also held occasional fans open meetings, however these have generally not been well attended.

Going Forward – The Fans Consultative Committee remains in place and is expected to continue to follow the consultative approach, the Trust continues to be represented on the forum.

The next article in this series will be published in a couple of days
