A bit about you:

Name: Lee Davies

Current home town: Blackwood, Gwent. ,Birthplace: Newport

How long have you supported your team? 15 years

Overview of your club:

Favourite thing about your home ground: The atmosphere, it’s a small, compact, tight little ground where the supporters are on top of you and the sound generated can be quite off-putting for the opposition at times!  Also, the best Clarke’s Pies in Cardiff!

Favourite match played by your team & why: QPR, Division 2 Play-Off Final, May 2003.  Awful game, excellent result!

Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Andy Legg

About our forthcoming match against you:

Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Roger Johnson (Centre-Half).  Total commitment, gives 100% every time he pulls on the shirt. A very good defender who will put his head anywhere.  His only downfall is his distribution whilst in possession of the ball.  A good leader at the back too, he was captain of Wycombe when he was 20.  At 23, he has his best years ahead of him for a defender….

Player in your squad we should most fear and why? Joe Ledley.  His workrate is second to none, probably be playing left midfield against you, but can play middle of midfield and at left back.  Gets up and down the wing, is quick and this season has added goals to his game.  He’s in a good run of form at the present time.

Player in our squad you most fear and why? Matty Fryatt. Capable of scoring goals out of nothing.  Our defenders could be in for a long night if they let him turn or get the wrong side of him.

Up and coming prospect in your squad? Our Academy is producing some good young talent at the minute.  We have Joe Ledley, who at 20 years old has played in over 150 games.  Chris Gunter who’s represented Wales at senior level, still only 18.  Aaron Ramsey, 16, if he has the right coaching education and attitude, is going to be one the best players in the country.  Made his first team debut last season, is a regular for the Welsh Under 21 side (even though he can still play in the 17’s and 19’s).

Where do you think you’ll finish this season?  I’m hoping at least top 10, – hopefully get into the Play-Offs!

How do you think you’ll do against us?  It’s going to be a tough game, you with a new manager in place which always gives the players a boost, plus our manager is fighting for his position so a loss would probably mean he would get sacked.  We have got to win, no question about it.  Cardiff to win 2-1.
