Foxes Trust welcome the announcement of ticketing arrangements for City’s Carabao Cup third round tie with Newport County.
Leicester City have announced that tickets for the next Carabao cup tie at the King Power Stadium will not be digital only, contrary to recent rumours.
This follows a constructive meeting between Foxes Trust, Disabled Supporters Association and Union FS representatives and club officials regarding ticketing policies. A frank and open discussion took place, during which the club advised that the road map for introducing NFC digital ticketing was yet to be decided.
The fans present were encouraged by the clubs assurances that they were listening to concerns and had systems in place to assist all those who could not use the NFC, smartphone digital ticketing.
However, the club will be monitoring feedback on the take-up of digital tickets and will hopefully continue dialogue with fans’ groups regarding any wider roll-out.
Foxes Trust thanks the club for responding to the concerns raised at the meeting and hopes it will continue to offer choices to those who require alternative forms of ticketing.
Ticketing arrangements are:
- Tickets now on sale to Season Ticket Holders.
- Season Ticket Holders can choose between Mobile and Physical Tickets until Sunday 9 October.
- Hospitality Packages are also available for this fixture from Tuesday 4 October.
The fixture is scheduled for 7:45pm on Tuesday 8 November and Season Ticket Holders will have an exclusive period to select a seat for the game, which runs until 9:59am on Sunday 9 October.
Season Ticket Holders will be able to choose between physical and Mobile Tickets during this exclusive period, after which Mobile Tickets will be issued, although the discounted price for Season Ticket Holders will remain.
During this sales period, Mobile Ticketing will remain the default option. To choose a physical ticket, Season Ticket Holders must select this option on the delivery page during purchase by changing the drop down menu from ‘Mobile Ticket (NFC)’ to ‘Click Here To Select Post’ and then selecting that option.
