Ultimately, we all want to celebrate such emotions. We at the Foxes Trust want to provide a stronger connection between our community links amongst Leicester City fans, the city and the county. As part of recent sub group changes, we have introduced the sub-group of Community and Representation.
You may have already seen three members back in April, take part in the YMCA Leicestershire event of the ‘Sleep Easy’ to highlight their work in support of homeless persons and assistance back into society. The Trust were supported by our members and public to the tune of £1,570; a considerable sum of the near £16,000 raised by the event in total.
Members will have been party to our survey asking to select a cause within the LCFC In The Community banner. We are excited to see where this relationship leads over the forthcoming months. Alongside this, we want to support the creation of a fan culture which regularly listens to its members, hosts events and plays its part in the celebration of our belonging, our pride and our passion. We intend to host Town Hall seed talks (sessions to get fan feedback on key issues and suggested solutions), introduce presence nearby the ground on matchday and hopefully create events with guests of real interest to our members.
The success of our community and charitable initiatives will largely depend on the people we have supporting them, so if you are an existing member that is passionate about supporting local and charitable causes, and can offer any of your time and experience to help the Trust’s work in this area, please email Harry Gregory (harry.gregory@foxestrust.co.uk).
