With the Lionesses lighting up the Women’s Euros once again, it’s great to see Leicester Women freezing season ticket prices for another year.
At just £45, a season ticket gives fans access to all 11 home games at home (with potentially all games at the King Power Stadium) which is pretty decent value to follow top-flight football in the Women’s Super League (WSL).
Prices stay at:
- £45 for Adults
- £33 for Over-65s
- £31 for Under-18s
Plus, adults can apply for two free season tickets for children aged 2-7 making it a great option for families.
Whilst we’re disappointed a few key players have decided to leave this summer, there’s some good news too. Several key players have signed new deals, and some are returning from injury. The club has also strengthened off the pitch with a new Women’s Director of Football, a Head of the Women’s Academy, and added physio support. Our academy continues to develop England talent.
You can buy your Women’s season ticket here. Current Women’s season ticket holders have two weeks to renew from July 24th.
The new WSL season kicks off away to Manchester United on Sunday 7th September at Leigh Sports Village. The game will be shown on Sky.
Sky has indicated that the Sunday night TV slots (which had good viewing figures) will be stopped. The Trust inputted into such consultations and along with other women’s supporters’ groups and the clubs themselves, commented that most families would not attend or travel away on Sunday nights. Sky will prioritise a Sunday lunchtime slot for women’s games instead.
Fourteen WSL clubs will trial alcohol in the stands at games this coming season. Leicester is not part of the pilot, and the Trust intends ask the club if it will be considered for next season should the trial prove successful elsewhere.
