We knew the day would eventually come and now it has.
Many plaudits will be paid to Jamie Vardy, both nationally and locally and all will be richly deserved.
He now leaves us as arguably the best player in the club’s history and on behalf of all Leicester City supporters, the Foxes Trust would like to thank him for all he’s done for our football club and the immense pleasure he’s given us all over the 13 years with our club.
We wish Jamie well for the future and he can always be assured of a warm welcome whenever we see him back at the King Power Stadium, in whatever role that is.
It would be a fitting send off, if in these last few games, he gets to the 200-goal mark.
Thank you for everything, Jamie. The goals, the skills, the endeavour and the glorious winding up of opposition fans. You’ll forever be ‘The GOAT’.
