The second meeting of the LCFC Fans Consultative Committee Working Groups (FCC – WG) took place on Wednesday January 22nd, these meetings form one element of LCFC Fan Engagement Framework (FEF).
As a reminder the FCC – WG is not a not decision-making forum but are for the purpose of supporters providing their views and input about possible changes. The views of the FCC – WG are then discussed by the Fans Advisory Board (the top layer of the consultation pyramid) to form the basis of making the big decisions affecting supporters, topics currently being discussed include safe standing, digital ticketing, membership scheme and the development of the Fan Zone.
At the latest meeting, Foxes Trust board member, Paul Rains, represented us, with the Trust being part of Group 3, so for this session was part of the Matchday Experience discussions, while FAB Co-Chair and Trust Boad member, Ian Bason joined the Ticketing and Products group
The meeting commenced with all attendees being briefed on the results of the safe standing consultation, which included the survey results, a couple of consultation meetings and feedback from those that had viewed the various prototypes which had been installed.
The Matchday Experience group focused on feedback on the Fan Zone, matchday food and drinks and atmosphere inside the ground.
The Ticketing and Products group mainly focused on digital ticketing, in particular the potential categories for exemptions and also discussed potential revisions of the membership scheme for next season.
The LCFC Culture group discussed matchday behaviour and the reporting mechanisms
There was also a discussion on a perceived lack of communication from the club about performance and strategy, with the request for the leadership to be more public facing.
