Trust Announces Additions to Board

The Foxes Trust Board is delighted to announce we have co-opted two new Board members: Cristian Bratu and James Grinstead.  Both are committed City fans.  Cristian’s specialism is journalism, while James is a qualified lawyer, below are self-written biographies.

Welcoming Cristian Bratu

I think it is safe to say that my weekends very much hinge on whether we get results on the pitch, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

There is never a dull moment when supporting Leicester, from surprise relegations and play-off heartbreaks, to European dreams and a certain 5000/1 season – that is what makes following the club feel so special.

Football has also now become a significant part of my life on a professional level as I look to build a career within the beautiful game, with experiences of reporting from press boxes and writing pieces through my journalism degree, to my current administrative role.

I was keen to lend skills that I have developed in helping the Trust achieve their aims and with my co-option onto the board, I hope to become a positive influence as we look to grow the Trust even further and build upon the great work already done to ensure that our club gets back to where it belongs as soon as possible.

Welcoming James Grinstead

Saturday 7 January 1995. Filbert Street. Enfield at home in the Cup.

One of my first memories of Leicester City FC – a 2-0 win; a hot dog and a bobble hat. Almost 30 years on, the same feelings of (in no particular order): excitement, joy, hope and frustration. Leicester is my club for better or worse (indeed, the Club featured heavily during my wedding with table names and my suit lining!)

Whilst I don’t get to matches as often as I’d like to now, bringing Leicester to the consciousness of my two young girls and sharing Leicester’s triumphs (and trials) from further afield is even more special than being inside the ground, as I was with my Dad back in 1995.

I now look forward to supporting the club off the pitch, as well as on it, with my co-option on to the Foxes Trust Board. This unexpected chapter back in the Championship has given me (like several other Foxes supporters) a fresh perspective on the club and how it is run. Accountability is key and I hope to contribute positively to the good work the Trust does engaging the Club on behalf of the supporters.

It has been a very encouraging start to the 2023-24 campaign – hopefully the best is still to come from Enzo and the team…

Up the Foxes!
