The revamping of the “39th Game” concept into clubs now playing one of their scheduled 38 games overseas has been widely condemned by fans organisations.

Discussions quickly took place between Premiership Trusts and the decision taken for individual Trusts to issue separate statements highlighting the various issues arising from the concept.
