Jon Rudkin's Departure

An overwhelming majority of supporters surveyed (93%) are dissatisfied with Jon Rudkin's promotion to Chief Football Officer. This was the single strongest negative result in the entire survey. A lack of clarity on footballing identity, poor player recruitment ratings and near-total dissatisfaction with contract management all reflect a clear mandate for change and a need for accountability. As the Trust stated in February, "A genuine shake-up would have resulted in him moving on, not moving up". We believe this to be the most impactful change the club can make to begin the process of a genuine rebuild and fresh start.

Reset The Fan Engagement Framework

Among supporters aware of the Fan Engagement Framework, 72% rate it as ineffective. The data shows a major gap between the Club's stated engagement approach and supporters' real experiences. 71% feel the Club does not act on feedback, 66% feel their views are not represented in meeting Minutes, and a further 15% have never read them. Meanwhile, 90% believe the Club's communication is ineffective. Although 86% support direct engagement with supporter groups outside the FEF, an effective Framework remains essential for meaningful dialogue with the wider fan base.

Reduce Ticket Prices

Supporters felt the Season Ticket pricing for League One football was inappropriate. Fans were required to decide on renewals before the season ended, with prices unchanged from Premier League levels. The data shows a clear expectation that pricing should reflect the lower standard of football. Additionally, 20% of supporters attending fewer matches this season cited ticket prices as a factor. Pricing adjustments should be implemented before the end of July 2026 to ensure fairness and allow supporters adequate time ahead of the new season.

Communicate a Credible 5 Year Plan

Supporters report major concerns about the Club's footballing identity (89% unclear) and financial management (92% lack confidence in future financial security; 87% doubt structures to avoid future PSR breaches). These worries are intensified by limited communication from senior leadership—91% want regular CEO updates on long‑term vision. The BC Game sponsorship (73% negative) further highlights misalignment with supporter values. To restore confidence, the Club must publish a clear 5‑year plan covering financial recovery, football strategy, governance, leadership accountability and commercial direction.

Consult Fans On Matchday Experience

41% of surveyed fans attend 21+ matches per season, meaning the sample includes many of the Club's most regular supporters. On‑pitch performance (85%) and poor atmosphere (64%) are the biggest factors harming matchday experience, and 41% of those attending fewer matches cite atmosphere as a reason. Safe‑standing has had no impact for 71% of supporters, and 66% say the Fan Zone does not enhance matchdays. Catering satisfaction also remains low. The Club should work directly with supporter groups to develop ideas to improve in‑stadium atmosphere and re‑consult the wider fan base for further feedback.
