Today saw the arrival at the King Power Stadium of a significant piece of our clubs heritage which will be admired by football fans from all over the country.
The model of Filbert Street built by Micky Bates has such incredible detail, it bring memories flooding back for any fan who was a regular visitor to our treasured former home.
The model now resides in the approach to the Keith Weller Lounge and will remain there until a planned full museum is opened, which is something the Foxes Trust has always lobbied for and will now become a reality due to the importance our current owners place in giving recognition to the heritage of the club…..
To this end, the club funded the glass casing display stand that the Filbert Street model now rests in, which will protect and preserve the model to museum standard levels.
The Foxes Trust Board cannot praise enough the effort that Micky has put into creating the model and is delighted the club have acted so positively to give the model a suitable place to be displayed now and in the longer term
