A bit about you:
Name: Michael Peters
Current home town: Sunderland
Birthplace: Sunderland – there's a theme here!
How long have you supported your team? Born here and raised to support Sunderland, so basically all my life. My first game was a 2-2 draw against Charlton in the 2001/02 season.
Overview of your club:
Favourite thing about your home ground: The Stadium of Light is a beautiful modern ground that cost us just £15 million. It's one of the biggest grounds in the country and is stunning from the inside. It's something that the club should rightfully be proud of, and can create quite the intimidating atmosphere when the fans are up for it.
Favourite match played by your team & why: Any win against Newcastle has to stand out, but the game that sticks in my mind is a 3-2 win over Burnley in 2007 that secured our promotion to the Premier League. A tense, high-energy game that was finally settled when Carlos Edwards smashed a 30-yard screamer into the top corner.
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Kevin Phillips, the only Englishman to ever win the European Golden Boot. It's baffling that he didn't get more England caps.
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Fabio Borini, for his passion, determination, and enthusiasm. He would run through a brick wall for the team, which is unfortunately not something you can say about a lot of modern players.
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? It has to be Defoe. If we're going to stay up, it's going to be because of him and his goals. He may be a bit older and slower now but he's still the player he was at Spurs.
Player in our squad you most fear and why? Riyad Mahrez can tear through defences like wet tissue paper. He'll be relishing the thought of coming up against van Aanholt or Yedlin.
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Duncan Watmore, a decent striker/winger with a bit of pace to him. Sadly he's been out injured for the past few months, but always looked to provide a keen goalscoring threat.
Where do you think you’ll finish this season? 17th. I'm still going to hope until and unless it becomes mathematically impossible.
How do you think you’ll do against us? My head says a 0-2 away win, my heart says we've got enough fight to nick it 2-1. We can dream!
General Questions:
What do you think of the transfer activity both in and out of your club this season? Sebastian Coates and Adam Matthews should never have got anywhere near the Stadium of Light, other than that, I've been in agreement with Advocaat's and Allardyce's transfers. Allardyce in particular did a great job at sorting through some of the deadwood and strengthening the squad on limited resources.
Which three teams do you think will go down? Villa's doomed, I think Newcastle are teetering on the edge too, and Norwich… please!
Who do you think will win the league? You'll most likely have it sewn up before Ranieri's return to Stamford Bridge.
Any other comments? Leicester fans should be incredibly proud, not just for your own team's achievements but for shaking up the Premier League's moneyed elite.
It's a breath of fresh air and every team in the league next season will be hoping and believing that they can do the same thing. Of course I'm desperately hoping that we can turn you over, but after that, if you win the league it would be the best thing to happen to the English game in a long time.
