A bit about you:
Name: Alan Marsh, aged 50,
Current home town: Sudbury
Birthplace: Croydon, Surrey (it was in Surrey then)
How long have you supported your team? 45 years (been supporting ITFC since 1969. ST holder)
Overview of your club:
Underachievers for many years, we are finally getting some better results although the football is not as good as the league position might suggest.
Favourite thing about your home ground: One of the best in the league. (But the seats are too small)
Favourite match played by your team & why: ITFC 1 Liverpool 0 – was a very exciting game. ITFC won in last few minutes.
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Clive Woods
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? The squad is better than it was, even though it remains a small squad. Different players play well on different occasions, Tommy Smith and Aaron Creswell are quite reliable. Steven Hunt can be great, he certainly works hard. David McGoldrick is scoring a nice few goals, as is Daryl Murphy. Just wish the "team" would play better football. Overall quality is not high.
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? David McGoldrick – he has scored lots of goals this season and has improved since he joined ITFC. Paul Taylor is a great attacker, he just does not find the net often enough.
Player in our squad you most fear and why? No question: David Nugent (if he plays) he always, and I mean always, scores at Portman Road. The rat !
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Aaron Creswell.
Where do you think you’ll finish this season? 6th, 7th or 8th.
How do you think you’ll do against us? We have no chance in my opinion, Leicester are a far superior footballing team. I am hoping for a Town win though π
Any other comments? ITFC are a great club and largely good to support. Nice to see us in the top half of the Championship this season. Good luck to Leicester in their promotion challenge.
