View from the opposition – Bournemouth 1 Feb 2014
A bit about you:
Name: Matthew Philips
Current home town: Leicester
Birthplace: Leicester
How long have you supported your team? Since 1983 where ‘Arry became manager
Overview of your club:
Favourite thing about your home ground: Compact, close to the pitch & a good atmosphere
Favourite match played by your team & why: 8 January 1984: Bournemouth 2 Man Utd 0 – really put us back on the map!
Favourite player of all time who played for your club: Super Stevie Fletcher – 628 appearances for the club says it all.
About our forthcoming match against you:
Your favourite current player in your squad and why? Lewis Grabban – banging in the goals
Player in your squad we should most fear and why? New signing Yann Kermorgant if he plays … since leaving you he has become quite a thorn in your side!!!
Player in our squad you most fear and why? Nugent is banging them in & Knockaert can always turn on the style
Up and coming prospect in your squad? Ryan Fraser – tricky young lad
Where do you think you’ll finish this season? In our first season back in the division I’d be happy with anything outside the bottom three, but top half would be nice
How do you think you’ll do against us? You are on form but now you’ve completed a new record 8 in a row it would be like us to sneak it by the odd goal – so let’s say 2-1 to us with Yann coming off the bench to get the winner
