Going to Norwich ?

By Car  NR1 1JE

The ground is well signposted from the A11 and A47.  From the southern bypass (A47) take the A146 into the city.  At the traffic lights turn right and follow the outer ring road: Left at the roundabout. Right at the next lights.  Follow the inner ring road round to the right, over the river and the ground is on your right. If in doubt follow signs for the the railway station until you get to the river (where the rail station is off to the left and ground on your right).

You may be able to park at Norfolk County Hall, which is well sign posted on the left of the A146, as you follow signs towards the ground from the Southern Bypass. It is currently £3 and can hold about 2000 cars. The Park and Ride buses finish early

 Approx 118 mls 2 hours 40 mins

The pubs situated in-between the train station and the ground, were plentiful and friendly. There is the 'Compleat Angler', which is by the river opposite the railway station (around 5-10 minutes walk from the ground)'. This pub seems to have now taken over the mantle of the 'away fans pub'. The Coach and Horses on Thorpe Road brews its own beer and is around a 10 minute walk away from the ground.

From the North:
Join the M25 and follow until Junction 20. Exit and follow signs for Hempstead Road, follow Hempstead Road into central Watford. Follow the large roundabout system at the end of Hempstead Road and exit towards Rickmansworth A412. Follow this road for 1/4 mile and turn left at the end of the underpass. Go through two traffic lights and turn left into 'The Hornets' at the East end of Vicarage Road.

Alternatively the following is advised- Leave the M1 at Junction 5 and take the A4008 into Watford. If on nearing the town centre you can't see it on your left, just go around the inner ring road and you will soon spot it.

From the South:
Join the M25 and head north past M4/Heathrow, then past the M40 Oxford Exit at Junction 16. Take the exit at Junction 18. The slip road goes up to a bridge going across the motorway, turn left towards Rickmansworth. Head down into Rickmansworth until you arrive at a large roundabout near Rickmansworth BR station. Turn left here along the A412 towards Watford.

Follow signs into Croxley Green. Continue straight over at the two roundabouts past Croxley, then take the fifth right exit on to Harwood Road. Continue straight down, heading straight over the traffic lights, until you come to the end of the road. At the end turn left and you will now be on Vicarage Road, continue for a few hundred metres and you will see the ground on your right hand side.

Going to Southampton ?

By Car

Please be aware that it is not advisable to head towards the ground on a match day unless you have a specific pass for one of the nearby car parks. Surrounding roads are subject to police road closures and heavy congestion.

How to get there

Parking around the St. Mary's Stadium is extremely limited so the club have set up numerous alternatives to enable you to get there comfortably, safely and efficiently.

Information from Chris Jacobs (Saints fan). Just wanted to let you guys know that anyone coming down to southampton by car on monday is best to park at ocean village which is about a 10 minute walk from st marys. Also parking is free after 6 pm so as a saints fan I'd advice an leicester fan to park at ocean village if their driving. Hopefully this will help your fans and i hope for a cracking match also not far away from a pub called the chapel arms which welcomes all away fans and always a great atmosphere.
Hope this helps the foxes that are travelling down.

By bus

A discounted Solent Dayrider or Southampton Dayrider is available to all match day and season ticket holders on match days only. This discount is £1 off a Southampton Dayrider (offer price is therefore £2) or £2 off a Solent Dayrider (offer price is therefore £4.00).

Both tickets entitle supporters to full use of the Bluestar, Solent Shuttle and Wilts & Dorset services in the appropriate area of validity. Vouchers must be detached from the Southampton FC match day or season ticket booklet by the driver of the first bus boarded and a Dayrider ticket will then be issued.

Conditions of the Dayrider are as per normal and are valid on all buses except Nightstar and certain other specific contracted services. The pass may be transferred to other users once the purchaser has finished using the ticket, but each individual must have a valid pass on each particular journey.
