It is the time of year for our annual event 5 A Side Tournament which will again be held at the Dome Belvoir Drive.
However with the Trust no longer needing to raise funds to obtain further shares in LCFC, the Trust Board has decided that all profits from this years event will go to the Ruby Rainbows Appeal which is being ran by BBC Radio Leicester in its 40th year. We have previously ran the tournament on a single Sunday featuring between 16-20 teams, however in an effort to raise more money for the cause, we hope to run the competition on consecutive Sundays May 13th & 20th 2007, with a 16 team competition ran each Sunday, with the winners of both days playing a final on the Walkers pitch later this year.
Last year Huncote Sports & Social won the title having eliminated previous winners The Brown Stripes on penalties in the semi finals.
We have already sent invites to the organiser’s of all last year’s participating teams, but why don’t you put a side together this year, whether it be a team from work, friends or a side to represent your street, village or social club
The entry fee is unchanged from last year at a minimum of £40 per team.
The First games kick off 2pm, and we aim to finish around 7pm.
