A view from the oppo (down under!) – Chelsea

A bit about you:

Name: Nevin

Current home town: Nhulunbuy, in the Australian outback

Birthplace: Belfast

How long have you supported your team? 20 long and sometimes painful years

Overview of your club:

Favourite match played by your team & why: Last year – Chelsea v Everton (5-0). Just a perfect team performance in every department. It really gave hope that this would be our year. Keeping a clean sheet at the back, and seeing Hazard weave his magic going forward was amazing. In the end you felt sorry for Everton but all who saw the game I think just appreciated that this was no ordinary day

Favourite player of all time who played for your club:  Gianfranco Zola, a legend

About our forthcoming match against you:

Your favourite current player in your squad and why?  Hazard has been my favourite for long time now. Love his control & vision, and he’s one of the few that just seems so natural on the ball. Combine that with his work rate and attitude, he’s a great role model for others and a pleasure to watch.

Player in your squad we should most fear and why? Morata, he’s hit the ground running since arriving and already gelling well with the team, especially the other Spaniards

Player in our squad you most fear and why? Mahrez is my main concern. He’s the play maker of the team and also dangerous in front of goal

Up and coming prospect in your squad? Bakayoko (Midfielder). Lots of good experience from Monaco and Champions League, for such a young age.

How do you think you’ll do against us? 2-1 to Chelsea. The Spanish trio will tip the balance in our favour.

General Questions:

What did you think to the summer transfer activity both in and out of your club?  Loving the addition of Morata. Not sorry to see Costa go (albeit unofficially at this stage) as he is too moody and unpredictable when the going gets tough.

Where do you think you’ll finish this season? Hoping for 1st, but reckon we’ll be a close 2nd

Who do you think will win the league? Saddens me to say that I reckon it could be a return to the top for United.

Which three teams do you think will get relegated from the Premiership? Crystal Palace, Watford & Brighton.

Any other comments? I think Chelsea will do well to keep a clean sheet for this game, especially if Vardy & Mahrez combine well together. However, all my hopes are pinned on Chelsea’s Spanish contingent doing their thing and causing havoc. Failing that, let Willian have a crack, as the lifts the whole team when he plays. Here’s to a good game.
