View from the opposition – Man Utd

Huge thanks to Andrew for stepping in and doing this 'view from' at the last minute when we were let down …………

A bit about you:

Name: Andrew

Current home town: Leicester

Birthplace: Leicester

How long have you supported your team? 45 years

Overview of your club:

Favourite thing about your home ground: The players walking out on the side of the Streford End supporters. Normally the home team walk out on the right hand side of the tunnel.

Favourite match played by your team & why: 1968 European Cup Final beating Benfica 4 – 1 in extra time at Wembley. George Best was the hero and this became his world stage defining moment.

Favourite player of all time who played for your club:  George Best

About our forthcoming match against you:

Your favourite current player in your squad and why?  Marcus Rashford, reminds me of the passion engraved deep in Man Utd.

Player in your squad we should most fear and why? Paul Poga, when he stops trying to prove to everyone why Man Utd paid so much for him, he will become so explosive.

Player in our squad you most fear and why? Danny Drinkwater, as all ex Man Utd players they try to show why they should not have been let go.

Up and coming prospect in your squad? Marcus Rashford

How do you think you’ll do against us? 1 – 1

General Questions:

What did you think to the winter transfer activity both in and out of your club? Disappointed two talented players had to leave but that is football, not surprised no substantial signing was made as the type of players we are looking at do not move in the winter window.

Where do you think you’ll finish this season? 4th

Which three teams do you think will get relegated from the Premiership? After yesterday's results anyone who says XYZ will be relegated, send them to the ‘funny farm’.

Any other comments? The banter between me and my City mates goes up a few notches today, all good fun. So proud my home town managed the unthinkable by becoming Champions last season, let's hope they get their minds right to fight off relegation this year, after today.
