MP’s Delighted with Asset of Community Value Status for Stadium

The Foxes Trust heard today from Jon Ashworth, MP for Leicester South

“I was delighted to hear that the King Power Stadium is to be listed as an Asset of Community Value. I would like to thank the Foxes Trust for making the application for the Stadium to be listed as an Asset of Community. The City of Leicester and the fans of the Club will now benefit from the actions of the Trust.”

This follows on from yesterday, when Leicester East MP, Liz Kendall, whose constituency includes the King Power Stadium, also reacted positively to the news via a post on her blog http://www.lizkendall.org/city-fans-secure-stadium-as-an-asset-of-community-value

Leicester West MP, Keith Vaz, had expressed his support directly to the Trust soon after the application was made.

Following the release of the news, BBC Radio Leicester’s Jim Davis interviewed Trust Chairman, Ian Bason, as the Breakfast show drew to a close. The interview can be heard via this link http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01jzf0y  with the interview commencing at 2 hours 53 minutes. This link will only be available for a few days
